Colton Goza is an intern for Sultan Ventures. Prior to interning for Sultan Ventures, Mr. Goza served as a Capital Asset Management Intern for the fixed income division of First Hawaiian Bank, where he presented credit buy/sell recommendations based on credit research reports over fixed income securities, particularly short-term municipal bonds. Additionally, Mr. Goza served as an Equity Research Analyst Intern for boutique wealth management firm Diamond Head Financial Advisers, where he performed extensive due-diligence for eleven companies in sectors including Consumer Discretionary, Industrials, and Materials using the value investing methodology and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) modelling. Mr. Goza’s most successful investment to date was his investment in NVIDIA, which yielded a 41% profit since early 2017.

Colton Goza holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he concentrated in East Asian finance. He intends to utilize his knowledge of fixed income and equity analysis, and startup ventures, towards a professional career in financial analysis for a financial firm in Tokyo, Japan.

Colton Goza’s favorite hobby is travelling; he has served as a volunteer for a humanitarian trip to Bali, Indonesia in 2014 to work with the Friends of the National Parks Foundation on Nusa Penida to aid in building construction projects and soil conservation efforts. In addition to his service in Indonesia, Mr. Goza has backpacked extensively across Western Japan, and has also studied abroad as a Freeman Scholarship recipient to universities and language schools in Japan’s Kansai and Kyushu regions.
